Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulator (Inspire)

A Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulator is an obstructive sleep apnea treatment that works inside your body while you sleep. This small device is implanted during a same-day outpatient procedure by a Duly Otolaryngologist (ENT) provider specialized in Inspire. The stimulator is operated by a small remote, operated by the patient, that allows the device to stimulate your airway open while you sleep. The device is turned on at bedtime and turned off upon waking by the patient. ENT will navigate the entire process from assessment of qualification to implant of the device. ENT will work closely with your Sleep Provider and Pulmonology to assess treatment efficacy through follow up visits and sleep studies to fine tune the device.
