In 2019, we wel­comed the Chica­go Prostate Cen­ter to DMG. The cen­ter, now part of the DuPage Med­ical Group Sur­gi­cal Cen­ter of West­mont, was estab­lished in 1997. The cen­ter offers spe­cial­ized radi­a­tion ther­a­py uti­liz­ing seed­ed impants, called brachyther­a­py, for those diag­nosed with prostate cancer.

We are expe­ri­enced in the field of brachyther­a­py, devel­op­ing evi­dence-based treat­ment plans using the most cur­rent research data, tai­lored to each patien­t’s indi­vid­ual needs. The cen­ter is equipped with lead­ing-edge tech­nol­o­gy and advanced diag­nos­tic imag­ing that allows us to deliv­er treat­ments more effec­tive­ly and with pre­ci­sion. In addi­tion to offer­ing brachyther­a­py treat­ment, we uti­lize a high­ly-effec­tive diag­nos­tic tech­nique called Stereo­tac­tic Transper­ineal Prostate Biop­sy (STPB). Per­formed as an out­pa­tient pro­ce­dure under gen­er­al anes­the­sia, it pro­vides a more com­pre­hen­sive sam­pling com­pared to tra­di­tion­al meth­ods. This allows the physi­cian to deter­mine the exact loca­tion of the cancer. 

The cen­ter was designed with patient com­fort in mind, includ­ing pri­va­cy areas, light-filled wait­ing rooms and recov­ery areas, as well as eas­i­ly acces­si­ble park­ing. We are ded­i­cat­ed to pro­vid­ing our patients and their familites with access to excep­tion­al can­cer care in an env­iorn­ment where they feel safe and supported.
