Mitral Valve PVL

Mitral Valve PVL is a rare com­pli­ca­tion that occurs after sur­gi­cal replace­ment of the mitral valve. The signs and symp­toms of this con­di­tion can include heart fail­ure, hemolyt­ic ane­mia and infec­tious endo­cardi­tis. A mitral valve PVL can be treat­ed sur­gi­cal­ly or through a tran­scather deploy­ment of plug devices.
