Endolumenal Functional Lumen Imaging Probe (Endo-FLIP)

The Endol­u­me­nal Func­tion­al Lumen Imag­ing Probe (End­oFLIP) is a min­i­mal­ly inva­sive device that is used to assess esophageal motil­i­ty dis­or­ders. End­oFLIP uses a bal­loon that is mount­ed on a thin catheter dur­ing an upper endoscopy. This bal­loon will pass a small elec­tri­cal cur­rent through it to mea­sure pres­sure and diam­e­ter of the area to help guide man­age­ment of var­i­ous disorders.
