"Hello Duly,I am sorry to say that I am more than disappointed in appointment we had with Dr. Pruthvi Sharlin, on November 6th, 2024. I am writing on behalf of my mother, as my mother does not speak English. I was present during the whole appointment. First, we waited for the doctor to come in for the appointment for at least 20 minutes. There were no other patients in the office. When the doctor finally arrived, she had my short mother sit in the chair as usual. The doctor did not raise her chair to be at eye level with my mother (the patient). She would have my mother just turn her head, my mother would turn and bend lower to the doctor's level for the doctor to be able you examine my mother's eyes. Dr. Sharlin raised her voice at my mother to not do that. As the eye exam proceeded, it came time for Dr. Sharlin to look into my mother's eye with the light. She held the light in front of my mother's eye for an extended period of time, more than at a normal exam. I have glasses and have been to many eye appointments, the process is not new to me. While looking at my mother's eye with the light, she got frustrated at the fact that my mother's eye was having a natural response and starting to close. She had an attitude about the fact, and rudely said that "Fine! I will hold your eye open for you!". Overall, the experience was awful! Dr. Sharlin's attitude during the whole exam was cold and rude. I am requesting that she gets advised that this is not a normal way to treat patients, I hope that no one else has to endure the rude behavior we received during the eye exam with Dr. Sharlin. I am also requesting that Duly puts a note in my mother's file to never book an appointment with Dr. Sharlin in the future. Thank you for your assistance!"
