"I think more compassion and consideration can be given when delivering the news of a miscarriage. It's a very traumatic experience, especially if there has been more than one. I think it's a delicate topic and when giving this traumatic news one should lead with compassion which I do not feel I was given. I was told that my baby did not have a heartbeat as if the Dr was asking someone if they needed something back from the store. Then I was presented awkwardly with my next steps; another ultrasound, a procedure and or some pill. I was excited to welcome my baby into the world in a few months and it was snatched away from me and I was given options that I felt I had to make a decision right in the moment. It's an already unfair situation having a small dose of compassion could have gone a long way. The Dr didn't even notify me on the heartbeat not being detected gently."
