"Since my previous doctor retired, this was a new patient visit for me, the first time seeing Dr. Sheikha for my annual visit for treatment and monitoring of High Cholestrol, GERD and Insomnia. He was very rushed coming in, didn't really ask me how I was doing or what concerns I had and really didn't ask why I was there-- his first words to me were "What refills do you need?" He then quickly looked over my lab report (only after I presented it to him-- he didn't ask for it), listened to my heart and lungs, and for the one concern I did bring up he only listened to me very quickly and abruptly gave me a quick suggestion of what I could do about it and quickly moved to close the visit. As he was finishing the visit and rushing out of the room, I had to call his attention to a condition (Thyroid Nodules) that my previous doctor was monitoring and of which I was advised to do continual monitoring by both my previous doctor and the radiologist--Dr. Sheikha was totally unaware of this because he obviously hadn't looked at my chart. He then came back, had me pull up the results of my previous ultrasound on my phone and then gave me an order for a follow-up ultrasound that I am due for next month, and then quickly left the room without giving me any assessment or advice about it or anything else that I am being treated for. I will be seeking another doctor."
