I believe it is critical to involve not only the patient, but his or her family membersas well, to address communication difficulties and challenges due to hearing loss. I work closely with each of my patients and their family to move towards acceptance and treatment of their hearing loss. This allows the patient to become actively engaged in social situations and improve their quality of life.
