As Stephen Levine, whose accolades included teacher of guided meditation and healing techniques, penned, The task of therapy is not to eliminate suffering but to give a voice to it, to find a form in which it can be expressed.” Whether it is individual, family, or couples counseling, I can help you reach your goals with tailored therapy based on your individual needs. My approach to therapy is client-centered, but I also integrate a variety of eclectic interventions to help reach each person’s goals. Some different styles that I include in the process are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I use these to treat disorders and behavioral patterns such as substance use, grief/trauma, and mental health focused issues. Coming to therapy can be difficult. I believe in building a therapeutic relationship with you based on collaboration, trust, and mutual respect. My focus is to create an environment where you feel comfortable and safe so you are able to express yourself without fear of being judged. My approach is to work on meeting you where you are at and using a variety of interventions to help you reach your goals and needs. Through your journey, you will acquire knowledge, strategies, and coping skills that are needed to enhance your self-awareness and utilize self-direction to live a full life.
