As a nurse, I spent near­ly a decade in the emer­gency depart­ment watch­ing my patients expe­ri­ence com­pli­ca­tions that I knew could have been avoid­ed with excel­lent pri­ma­ry care. As a nurse prac­ti­tion­er, I love part­ner­ing with my patients as they nav­i­gate ways to pro­tect their health. I rec­og­nize how inte­grat­ed our health is into our rela­tion­ships, careers, and com­mu­ni­ty, and I con­sid­er it my priv­i­lege to help patients achieve their best pos­si­ble out­comes. I work hard to lis­ten well, con­tin­u­ous­ly learn about best prac­tice guide­lines, and advo­cate for my patients.
