I have been a com­mu­ni­ty pedi­a­tri­cian for over 20 years at the same prac­tice sub­ur­ban Chica­go. I try very hard to be respon­sive to my patients, answer­ing every ques­tion by the end of the day. My gen­er­al phi­los­o­phy is that the body gen­er­al­ly knows best what to do, and the physi­cian’s role is to rec­og­nize when it is not work­ing prop­er­ly and stay out of the way when it is.
