Every patient is a unique indi­vid­ual and the indi­vid­ual should always be con­sid­ered when eval­u­at­ing their con­cerns. Patients should be involved in the deci­sion mak­ing process when it comes to their care. They should be com­fort­able with their physi­cian to dis­cuss their con­cerns and come to an agree­ment regard­ing their care plan. I am always will­ing to explain any con­cerns regard­ing a patien­t’s diag­no­sis until the patient under­stands the issue. Patien­t’s are encour­aged to get a sec­ond opin­ion when they are uncer­tain about the rec­om­mend­ed plan of care.
