As a prac­tic­ing physi­cian, I build treat­ment plans along­side my patients through a shared-deci­sion mak­ing approach. I under­stand that each patient is unique and has her own goals. I like to start each encounter by ask­ing about their main goals for the vis­it; this allows us to work effi­cient­ly while also ensur­ing that her own con­cerns and ques­tions are addressed. I under­stand that there are many ways to prac­tice med­i­cine and thus I like to teach patients what the most updat­ed research and evi­dence shows, in order for them to be able to make informed deci­sions regard­ing their care.

"Dr. Ariel was the first doctor I have had in years who I felt like actually listened and actually cared about me. She took her time to educate me and explain everything in thorough detail in a way that a lay person like myself could easily understand. I never felt rushed by her. "Dr. Ariel was really knowledgeable - I have never had a doctor fully explain to me what's going on instead of just saying "it's nothing to worry about" and I really really appreciated that. She was not dismissive like my previous doctor and she was very straightforward while still being emotionally validating and present."

"Dr. Ariel was the best. It was my first time seeing her. I had a previous gynecologist for about 5 years and was not close to being comfortable with her as I did with Dr. Ariel just in the first visit. I felt that I could be honest with her and talked to her about things that I would never bring up to my other doctor. She is very personable, friendly, and caring. She took the time to listen to my questions and concerns, and helped me understand more about my health. I am so happy I decided switch doctors, I would recommend Dr. Ariel to anyone I know. Dr. Ariel, her nurses, and the front desk staff are so nice and made me feel comfortable the second I walked into the office!"

"Instructions for next steps weren't explained very clearly. Example: I was told labs were needed to be drawn, but wasn't given an order for labs or asked where I'd like to have them performed. Also, I wasn't given clear instructions on whether I needed to be fasting or not. I had to call back the next day to obtain more information"
