I work to engage the patient as an equal partner in their care. I feel that my duty is to inform the patient in a caring manner of all the options that are available to them. I then strive to actively assist the patient in arriving at the best treatment possible. I believe that an active and engaged patient makes the best patient, and that this involvement of the patient in their own care will lead to the best outcome.

Problems from the shoulder to the finger tips are my area of training and expertise. I have a specific interest in tendon surgery of the upper extremity, fracture care of the upper extremity, minimally invasive nerve decompression surgery, and shoulder replacement surgery.
I enjoy tennis, golf, soccer, cycling, and travel.

It was overall good experience
The entire experience at Dr. Murphy's office was exceptional, like always. I was seen within minutes of my scheduled appointment, the process was so organized. Dr. Murphy had a clear understanding of my problem and gave excellent care. He took his time to evaluate and make recommendations for me. I did not feel rushed at all, It's rare to find a Dr. that respects your time so well. I have seen Dr. Murphy several times, for surgery, and for a Trigger Finger. Dr. Murphy diagnosed with options and addressed it with an injection, before immediately going to surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Murphy. I wish all my doctors were as knowledgeable and compassionate as Dr. Murphy. You're in good hands.
