Dr. Amir Raad is a doc­tor­al-pre­pared board-cer­ti­fied psy­chi­atric men­tal health nurse prac­ti­tion­er. He relies on evi­dence-based research and clin­i­cal prac­tice in treat­ing and under­stand­ing psy­chi­atric dis­or­ders. His prac­tice phi­los­o­phy rec­og­nizes men­tal health dis­par­i­ties to effec­tive­ly pro­mote cul­tur­al­ly sen­si­tive, high-qual­i­ty patient-cen­tered care. Dr. Raad believes in help­ing patients dis­cov­er a healthy sta­bil­i­ty, bal­ance, and mean­ing in their lives. He strives to bring aware­ness, com­pas­sion, and pro­fes­sion­al­ism in under­stand­ing the patient as a whole person.

Dr. Raad has served the men­tal health needs of patients in both the out­pa­tient and inpa­tient set­tings through­out his career. His expe­ri­ence with­in the health­care field has tak­en him across the nation, span­ning from Maine to Ohio to New Mex­i­co to Ari­zona where he spent 6 months on the Nava­jo Nation Native Amer­i­can Reser­va­tion. In addi­tion, he also served on the Board of Direc­tors for the Illi­nois Soci­ety of Advanced Prac­tice Nurs­ing from 2021 to 2023.
