DuPage Medical Group Welcomes Two New Leaders to its Senior Management Team

DOWN­ERS GROVE, Ill. — DuPage Med­ical Group (DMG), the largest inde­pen­dent mul­ti-spe­cial­ty physi­cian group in Illi­nois, is pleased to announce the addi­tion of Jen­nifer McCusker and Joel Nel­son to its senior man­age­ment team. McCusker will serve as Chief Peo­ple Offi­cer, and Nel­son will hold the role of Senior Vice Pres­i­dent of Clin­i­cal Inno­va­tion and Patient Experience. 

McCusker brings more than 20 years of expe­ri­ence in the areas of tal­ent and orga­ni­za­tion­al devel­op­ment, with a proven track record for build­ing high-per­form­ing teams across a vari­ety of indus­tries. She has played a crit­i­cal role in shap­ing the cul­ture of large orga­ni­za­tions such as Taco Bell and Oak­ley. As Chief Peo­ple Offi­cer, she will over­see and pro­vide strate­gic direc­tion across human resources, includ­ing train­ing and devel­op­ment, tal­ent acqui­si­tion, ben­e­fits, asso­ciate engage­ment and cul­ture enhance­ment efforts. McCusker will also design and imple­ment new HR process­es and pro­grams to help enhance DMG’s cul­ture and dri­ve growth initiatives. 

Nel­son comes to DMG with exten­sive expe­ri­ence in strat­e­gy inno­va­tion and a com­mit­ment to human-cen­tered design. He most recent­ly served as Vice Pres­i­dent of Inno­va­tion at Unit­ed­Health­care. Pre­vi­ous­ly, Nel­son served as Senior Direc­tor, Strate­gic Growth at Best Buy where he devel­oped the strat­e­gy and inno­va­tion approach to the man­aged ser­vices growth ini­tia­tives across sev­er­al mar­ket ver­ti­cals, includ­ing con­nect­ed enter­tain­ment, home healthcare/​wellness, home ener­gy and home automa­tion. In part­ner­ship with DMG’s senior man­age­ment team and physi­cian lead­ers, he will devel­op inno­v­a­tive tech­nolo­gies, pro­grams and ini­tia­tives to advance DMG’s inno­va­tion agen­da and help dri­ve its dis­tinc­tive patient experience.
