DuPage Medical Group Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

DOWN­ERS GROVE, Ill. — DuPage Med­ical Group (DMG), the largest inde­pen­dent, mul­ti-spe­cial­ty physi­cian group in the Chica­go area, is pleased to announce the addi­tion of Don­na Coop­er to its lead­er­ship team as Chief Oper­at­ing Offi­cer. In her new role, Coop­er will focus on stream­lin­ing oper­a­tions and map­ping out strate­gies for future growth, opti­miz­ing the oper­a­tions of DMG’s prac­tice sites, as well as col­lab­o­rat­ing with physi­cians and func­tion­al lead­ers through­out the orga­ni­za­tion to ensure an excep­tion­al patient experience.

Coop­er joins DMG with more than 20 years of health­care indus­try expe­ri­ence, most recent­ly serv­ing as chief oper­at­ing offi­cer of Advo­cate Med­ical Group (AMG). AMG has over 1,500 providers and 300 loca­tions through­out Chicagoland and Cen­tral Illi­nois. Coop­er also for­mer­ly served as pres­i­dent of Advo­cate Drey­er Med­ical Clin­ic where she direct­ed var­i­ous health­care busi­ness oper­a­tions on all lev­els. Don­na was employed by Advo­cate since 2007. 

Pri­or to her tenure with Advo­cate, Coop­er worked as the chief finan­cial offi­cer and then CEO of Physi­cians Clin­ic of Iowa. She also pre­vi­ous­ly held posi­tions at a man­aged care com­pa­ny where she nego­ti­at­ed pay­er, ven­dor and Physi­cian-Hos­pi­tal Orga­ni­za­tion (PHO) con­tracts. Coop­er is a grad­u­ate of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Iowa, where she received both her bach­e­lor’s and mas­ter’s degrees.
