DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — DuPage Medical Group (DMG), has announced its expectation that all of its physicians and team members receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine requirement is a condition of employment.
“DuPage Medical Group has long been a model of citizenship – working in solidarity to advance the common good for the health of our community,” explained Donald Hoscheit, MD, Chief Medical Officer.“Following very comprehensive discussions across our leadership team, and following the advice of leading experts, including the FDA, we will be requiring all team members, clinical and non-clinical, to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.”
Staffed by more than 750 primary and specialty care physicians and nearly 5,000 team members, DuPage Medical Groups supports more than a million patient visits per year across over 100 sites of care. From the onset of the pandemic, the organization has strongly encouraged our physicians and team members to receive the vaccine and believes with few exceptions, most have.
“DuPage Medical Group is committed to helping people flourish,” said Dr. Hoscheit.“This action reflects our duty to safely care for our patients and communities and to do our part in helping to turn the tide of this pandemic.”
