DOWN­ERS GROVE, Ill. — DuPage Med­ical Group (DMG), the largest inde­pen­dent, mul­ti-spe­cial­ty physi­cian group in the Chica­go area, announced it will now offer Obe­si­ty Med­i­cine ser­vices at its new Weight Loss Clin­ic in Oak Brook. Lead­ing this new ser­vice line are Drs. Zaid Jab­bar and Jef­frey Pua, who work along­side patients to help them achieve their well­ness goals through indi­vid­u­al­ized approach­es to weight loss management.

High blood pres­sure, dia­betes, high cho­les­terol, arthri­tis and sleep apnea are just some of the chron­ic con­di­tions that can be caused by obe­si­ty. DMG’s Weight Loss Clin­ic spe­cial­izes in obe­si­ty man­age­ment ser­vices as well as med­ical con­sul­ta­tion for meta­bol­ic dis­or­ders and weight con­trol. He earned his med­ical degree from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Wis­con­sin-Madi­son and com­plet­ed his res­i­den­cy at Loy­ola Uni­ver­si­ty Med­ical Cen­ter. His med­ical inter­ests include obe­si­ty, hyper­lipi­demia, pre­ven­ta­tive car­di­ol­o­gy, dia­betes, hyper­ten­sion, pre­ven­ta­tive med­i­cine, der­ma­tol­ogy, COPD/​asthma and allergy.

Dr. Jef­frey Pua is board-cer­ti­fied in inter­nal med­i­cine. He earned his med­ical degree from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Illi­nois at Chica­go and com­plet­ed his res­i­den­cy at Rush Uni­ver­si­ty Med­ical Cen­ter. His med­ical inter­ests include obe­si­ty med­i­cine, weight loss med­i­cine, inter­nal med­i­cine and headaches.
