DuPage Medical Group Introduces Family Medicine and Internal Medicine in Itasca

DOWN­ERS GROVE, Ill. - DuPage Med­ical Group, the largest inde­pen­dent, mul­ti-spe­cial­ty physi­cian group in the Chica­go area, is now offer­ing Fam­i­ly Med­i­cine and Inter­nal Med­i­cine ser­vices at a new loca­tion in Itas­ca at 1107 Prospect Avenue, Suite 100. Two spe­cial­ists, Dr. Shru­ti Gup­ta and Dr. Iffat S. Ahmed, join DMG’s grow­ing physi­cian family.

Dr. Gup­ta received her med­ical degree from St. George’s Uni­ver­si­ty, School of Med­i­cine and com­plet­ed her res­i­den­cy in Fam­i­ly Med­i­cine at Vir­tua Fam­i­ly Med­i­cine in New Jer­sey. Her med­ical inter­ests include pre­ven­ta­tive med­i­cine for men, women and chil­dren, as well as chron­ic con­di­tions includ­ing hyper­ten­sion, dia­betes, hyper­lipi­demia, acne and minor pro­ce­dures. She cares for both adults and chil­dren and speaks addi­tion­al lan­guages includ­ing Hin­di and Span­ish. Gup­ta pre­vi­ous­ly received the Press Ganey Guardian of Excel­lence Award for Patient Sat­is­fac­tion. She is affil­i­at­ed with AMI­TA Alex­i­an Broth­ers Med­ical Cen­ter in Elk Grove Village. 

Dr. Ahmed received her med­ical degree from the Chica­go Col­lege of Osteo­path­ic Med­i­cine and com­plet­ed her res­i­den­cy in Inter­nal Med­i­cine at Loy­ola Uni­ver­si­ty Med­ical Cen­ter. Her med­ical inter­ests include hyper­ten­sion, hyper­lipi­demia, dia­betes, obe­si­ty, anx­i­ety and depres­sion. She cares for adult patients and speaks addi­tion­al lan­guages includ­ing Hin­di and Urdu. Dr. Ahmed is affil­i­at­ed with Advo­cate Good Samar­i­tan Hos­pi­tal, Edward Hos­pi­tal and Elmhurst Memo­r­i­al Hospital.
