Insurance Policy Updates
Start the new year smoothly by updating any changes to your insurance details with Duly Health and Care before January 1, 2025. Whether updating your new policy in MyChart, confirming pharmacy details, or ensuring a current credit card is on file for copays, these steps help maintain uninterrupted access to the medications and care you rely on.
Communication with your Duly team is key. Providing big or small changes to your insurance policy or cards helps our team protect the accuracy of your information and the timeliness of your services, referrals, and prescriptions.
Updating Your New Insurance and Billing Information
Please update your Duly Health and Care patient account if your insurance policy will change on January 1st.
This is especially important if you have a procedure or treatment scheduled for January. Contacting your provider’s office with your new insurance information will ensure we have ample time to obtain a new authorization for upcoming care.
You can make these updates:
At Your Provider’s Office
Share your new insurance policy with the receptionist at your provider’s office.
By Calling Customer Service
Call 1−866−734−7680 to provide your updated insurance policy details.
When Scheduling in MyChart
Schedule an appointment through MyChart and upload your new insurance card and policy details through the scheduling process.
Deductibles & Copays
When a policy starts January 1st or runs ‘calendar year,’ your deductible resets and copays may change until you’ve met your deductible or out-of-pocket responsibilities.
Copay cards are critical financial resources for patients. Make sure you call the customer service number of your copay card before the end of the year to re-enroll in the copay card program. Doing so will reduce delays in processing pharmacy orders, eliminate phone calls later, and ensure you get the maximum benefit from the program.
Prescription Coverage
Your pharmacy processor may change even if your medical insurance policy isn’t changing in the new year. It is important to look for any changes to the new prescription card you receive from your insurance company. Confirming new card information with your pharmacy, specifically your RX BIN, RX GRP, and ID numbers, will help ensure on-time medication access.
Medicare Part B has a yearly deductible starting on January 1st. If medications, like immunosuppressants and oncology medications, are billed to Part B, your out-of-pocket responsibility may be affected at the time of your first refill in January.
Billing Updates
Share any updated credit card information with your providers’ office to cover copays when visiting our clinics at the beginning of the year.
In the new year, after your new benefits are verified, you can understand your out-of-pocket costs on your new insurance policy by browsing a searchable list of standard charges and shoppable services and view estimated costs for each of your upcoming services through our Billing Estimates tool.
Many insurance companies will delay authorizations for services until after January 1, when benefits can be verified. Some insurance plans are delayed when coverage is uploaded into their system, causing delays in authorizations. As your partner in health, we will work hard to minimize delays in the care you and your family need.
